Dear Campus Community,

After much discussion and careful consideration, we have decided to cancel large in-person events on the Warren Wilson College campus from mid-May through August this year. The Swannanoa Gathering will be virtual this summer, along with the residencies for the MFA Program for Writers and MA in Critical Craft Studies. Smaller events not requiring on campus residency in large numbers are still under discussion with final decisions expected in late March.

We believe this decision is best to both protect the health and safety of our college community and the guests who usually attend these events, while continuing to offer high-quality, distinctive programming virtually. We look forward to the summer of 2022, when we hope to resume our wonderful traditional summer programming and events and fill our campus with music, writing, craft, and friends on campus.
