Warren Wilson College offers a selection of online courses through the Acadeum College Consortium, a network of accredited colleges and universities that share online course offerings. There are a select number of approved online Acadeum consortium courses that meet WWC equivalencies. The consortium courses provide students the opportunity to make up credit hours, get ahead in coursework or to repeat a course to improve their grade point average. It is important to note that an Acadeum course will affect the student's grade-point average just like a WWC course. It is also very important that students meet with their academic advisor before enrolling in an Acadeum course to make sure courses transfer to meet degree requirements.
Restrictions:
● In accordance to the academic policy, found in the College Catalog, for taking Acadeum courses, Students may not enroll in an Acadeum course during a semester when that course is offered at Warren Wilson.

-
There is no flexibility with the add/drop deadlines. WWC is required to follow the teaching school's deadlines; therefore, decisions to add or drop a course MUST be reported to [email protected] prior to 4:00p.m., no less than one business day before the deadline. Any drop on the WWC Acadeum portal must be followed-up by informing the WWC Registrar’s Office.
-
Withdrawals are possible after the drop date—in accordance with the host school’s rules. In a withdrawal, the student will NOT get a reimbursement, but they will earn a W rather than an F. Again, if a student withdraws they should contact WWC Registrar’s Office immediately to make sure the withdrawal is recorded in the student's record.
