Help

Warren Wilson celebrates gender diversity and is always working to build a more inclusive community for trans, non-binary, and other gender non-conforming/gender-expansive students. Please reach out to the QRC at any time to suggest additional ways we can support people of all genders!

All Gender Bathrooms

All Gender bathrooms are available in most buildings on campus. Many of these bathrooms are single stalls, while some are multi-stall or include both stalls and urinals.  A complete map is available here.

There are also Men's and Women's bathrooms in each building. Warren Wilson supports all members of the community in using whatever bathroom feels most comfortable or most closely aligned with their gender identity.

Name Changes

Students can update their Campus Name (public, visible across platforms) or Chosen Name (class and crew lists only) with Warren Wilson by logging into myWWC and clicking "Campus Life" and "Name Information."   This will not change Gmail or Moodle.

To update your name on Gmail and other Google apps, go to "Settings," "Account and Imports," "Account Settings." Then click "Personal Info" and update your name.

To update your name on Moodle, log in and go to your Profile. In the User Details section click Edit Profile. Change your First Name and save.

Your legal name will appear on all financial aid and billing statements, checks, transcripts, and on your diploma. If you also want your legal name to be used on these documents, please contact the Registrar.

If you are interested in changing your legal name, click here to learn more or reach out to the QRC for support!

Medical Transition

Students seeking hormone therapy, gender-affirming surgeries, or other forms of medical assistance with gender transition can reach out to the QRC to be connected with local resources (also see the Tranzmission guide above).
