WWC Lettuce Eating Competition, Thursday April 20 at 12:15pm

WWC’s Annual Giving Day Lettuce Eating Competition returns April 20 at 12:15pm on Cowpie Patio. The Lettuce Eating Competition is a long-standing Warren Wilson tradition and a fun way for our campus community to celebrate Giving Day! It benefits the WWC Fund, which supports everything from Community Engagement, to Scholarships, Athletics, and more. It is free to attend, so come on down and take part in this quintessential WWC event.

This year’s competitors are a cast of infamous staff and students who will compete to eat the most lettuce within the allotted time. Going HEAD-to-HEAD this year are Scottie Norman, Carlyle Grundon, Aidan Saunders, Timmy Carcel, and Luke Wheelan.

Onlookers will cajole, cheer, and pitch in cash donations while our competitors house buttercrunch and cress for a cause. Finally, if this year’s target goal of $1,000 is met, Paul Bobbit will be taking shears to his luscious beard.

At the Lettuce Eating Competition, donations are appreciated and heckling is encouraged!

Giving Day is a time for our extended community to come together in support of the future of WWC and its students - you would not BE-LEAF the impact such an event can have! LETTUCE show up in the name of Warren Wilson College and campus shenanigans to carry on this tradition and encourage joyful engagement from our community!
