Help

Warren Wilson College ITS has deployed over 225 access points to provide WiFi6 service to most major areas on campus including many common outdoor spaces.

Most Students, Employees, Volunteers, Guests, etc

All personally-owned and many college-owned devices (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc) should select "WWC" from the list of available networks. This is an open network that will prompt you to answer a series of questions. Please read below first, then contact ITS for connection assistance if necessary.

  1. Select "WWC" from the list of available networks
  2. When prompted, click the alert that says "this network requires sign in" similar to many public WiFi networks at airports, coffee shops, stores.
  3. Review the Terms & Conditions and check the box if you Agree. Click "Start" to continue.
  4. Students & Employees can select the top option to log in with your primary network username (first part of email address) and password. This option is recommended for all current accounts for improved performance. Only select "Guests & Visitors" if you do not have a WWC account.
  5. Follow the remaining prompts as directed. Students & employees will need to login while guests can enter a cell#, personal email address, or voucher pass to get temporary access.

Note: The "WWC-WiFi" network is deprecated. If you have this on any personally-owned devices, please remove/forget this network asap and join "WWC" as noted above. Access will be phased out over the course of FY22-23.

Game Consoles, Smart TVs, etc

If you have personally owned devices such PlayStation, Xbox, Roku, etc that have difficulty connecting to the "WWC" open network then you can create a one-time device password. Please follow these instructions:

  1. Go to the "Bring Your Own Device" page on a different computer/tablet/phone already connected to the Internet.
  2. Read the Terms & click "Start" if you agree.
  3. Enter your WWC username & password (first part of your email address, NOT the @warren-wilson.edu bit) then click Continue.
  4. Type a label for the intended device such as "Jane Xbox" or appropriate then click Continue.
  5. Take note of the password assigned to you. On the other device (Xbox, TV, etc) connect to the "WWC-Other" network and use the password provided.

Please Note: this password is associated with you, works on only one device, & thus cannot be shared. You can go through the process again if you have multiple devices.

If you need a College-owned device connected, please contact ITS for assistance.

Certain College-owned Devices (restricted work laptops, lab computers, special loaners, etc)

Simply put, ITS is working to make connecting to secure networks automatic based on role membership and device security. You will not be able to join these networks on your own so please contact ITS if you have difficulty accessing ERP / Reporting systems.

Note: The "WWC-WiFi" network is deprecated. If you have this on any personally-owned devices, please remove/forget this network asap and join "WWC" as noted above. Access will be phased out over the course of FY22-23.
